This week's #funfactsunday highlights the Central Fire Alarm Station.

The Central Fire Alarm Station, a Beaux Arts - Classical Revival style building constructed c. 1926 at 46 W. Fremont Street, was created to house Stockton’s Gamwell Fire Telegraph relay equipment.

This building, which is located within McLeod Park, served as the central location for emergency calls to the Fire Department from call boxes located throughout the city.
