Jo Koy, one of today’s premier stand-up comedians, has risen from performing in a Las Vegas coffee house to selling out arenas worldwide with comedy inspired by his Filipino heritage and colorful family. Consistently ranked among Pollstar and Billboard’s top 10 grossing comics, Koy has sold out major venues such as Madison Square Garden, London’s O2 Arena, and Manila’s Mall of Asia Arena. His 2022 film Easter Sunday, produced by Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Partners, became the first major studio film to feature an all-Filipino cast and earned him the Keys to Daly City and his own “Jo Koy Day.” He has since appeared in Haunted MansionMonkey KingLeo, and The Tiger’s Apprentice, and continues his Netflix partnership with Jo Koy: Live From Brooklyn (2024), his seventh stand-up special. Beyond comedy, Koy advocates for Filipino representation in Hollywood, executive producing the acclaimed documentary Nurse Unseen and co-producing Broadway’s all-Filipino musical Here Lies Love. His achievements have earned him multiple city proclamations, including “Jo Koy Day” in Honolulu (2017) and Los Angeles (2022), and his bestselling memoir Mixed Plate: Chronicles of an All-American Combo (2021) offers a heartfelt look at his journey. In March 2026, he will make history alongside Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias as the first comedians to headline and sell out SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
