HISTORY
The Henery Apartments were built in 1913. The brick and terracotta building has a distinctive roof style known as a mansard –with three dormers facing the street, arched windows and decorative surrounds, cornices with medallions, and decorative brackets. This all identifies the Henery as the finest example of French Second Empire style. Probably its most beautiful feature was the round glass Tiffany-style awning was at the front of the building. The awning is gone, and the building is vacant, but fortunately, it is currently being refurbished.
