In spring 2007, the Greater Downtown Stockton Housing Strategy was initiated by the Stockton Redevelopment Agency to establish action oriented steps to achieving new housing development in and around Downtown Stockton. In June 2007, the Downtown Action team's recommendations were presented to the City Council.
