Downtown Overview

The landscape of Downtown Stockton has changed dramatically in the last ten years. Today, it is home to the Stockton Arena and Banner Island Ballpark, the newly renovated San Joaquin Regional Transit Center, the Weber Point Events Center and more that help to make Downtown Stockton a destination for events, business, housing and investments. Carefully planned brick and mortar construction in the city’s core has become the most visible outward sign of the revitalization of downtown.

Most recently, the Downtown Stockton Alliance, City of Stockton, Stockton Conference and Visitors Bureau, Stockton Sports Commission, San Joaquin RTD, Arnaiz Development, A.G. Spanos Company, County of San Joaquin, Stockton Thunder and Lightening, Miracle Mile Improvement District and many other supporters invited Destination Development, Inc. to help brand Stockton in an effort to find our marketing niche. The resulting branding action plan geared towards spurring economic and tourism development is available for download.
