OVERVIEW
This event was hosted in 2011 by the Downtown Stockton Alliance in partnership with the City of Stockton under the leadership of Councilmember Susan Eggman. Event organizers invited builders, developers, the business community, students, and financial institutions to hear presentations from Mayor Ann Johnson, Councilmember Susan Eggman, City Manager Bob Deis, Deputy City Manager Mike Locke, Downtown Developer Dan Cort, Meea Kang and
Terry Watt of the California Infill Builders Association.

Susan Eggman, City of Stockton Councilmember
In addition to serving her second term on the Stockton City Council, Susan Eggman is a strong advocate of affordable housing, literacy, and reducing crime through the engagement of community.
She will act as the host of the Downtown Stockton Summit. |

Dan Cort, Downtown Developer
Developer of historic mid-town and Downtown Stockton properties, former Mayor of Pacific Grove, Dan Cort has published "Downtown Turnaround, Lessons for a New Urban Landscape", a book replete with revelations, anecdotes, and hands on information and techniques for creating your own prosperity while saving the environment.

Meea Kang, President of
Domus Development
Meea Kang has given rise to nearly 2,000 units of affordable and market rate housing in California. Since 2003, her company, Domus Development, has produced socially- and environmentally-conscious ventures by revitalizing underutilized properties, improving infrastructure, involving communities in the planning process, creating public-private partnerships and assembling complex layered financing. For her achievements, Ms. Kang was recently honored with a Visionary 2020 Award from the Sierra Business Council.

Terry Watt, Founder of California Infill Builders Association
Terry Watt is a Planning Consultant to the California Attorney General’s Environment Section during Jerry Brown’s term as Attorney General. She is also the architect of the newly formed California Infill Builders Association.

Mike Locke, City of Stockton Deputy City Manager
Past President/CEO of the San Joaquin Partnership, a county-wide public/private consortium whose mission is to attract and retain jobs to the area, Mike Locke was also a City Manager of Tracy for twenty-one years.
