Keg lifting competitions, craft beers on tap, sausages, home brews, chicken dance dance-offs and, of course, beer stein holding competitions, Stocktoberfest 2012 is not to be missed! Modeled after a German Octoberfest with a Stockton twist, Stocktoberfest seating is outdoors on the waterfront with long tables, wooden benches and BIG glass steins.

FEATURED BEERS in 2011

Spaten Premium Larger,in 1894 Spaten became the first brewery in Munich to produce this brand of light lager. Golden in color with a well-balanced hop-flavor and full rounded body, it is a superb balance between hops and a malty sweetness (5.2 % alcohol)

Spaten Oktoberfest is an amber Marzen with medium body; impeccable taste balancing the roasted malt flavor with the perfect amount of hops; a rich textured palate with an underlying sweetness true to tradition

Woodchuck Amber Draft Cider was the first style of cider produced under the Woodchuck label. It is made from a blend of apples and fermented with champagne yeast to produce a great tasting and refreshing product (5% alcohol)
Pyramid Snow Cap is an English strong ale brewed in the spirit of British winter ales. Crafted with a flurry of roasted chocolate and caramel malts, and generously hopped, it delivers a smooth finish (7% alcohol)
Blue Moon Harvest is a naturally pumpkin flavored ale brewed only in the autumn; combines the flavor of vine-ripened pumpkin and spices(6.5% alcohol)

Strong and malty, with some nutty and carmel overtones. American version is slightly drier and more bitter than the English counterpart (4.7% alcohol)
New Belgium Ranger IPA has rich golden color and piney aroma; hop level is 60 IBUs but the flavor is well balanced with hints of citrus (7% alcohol)
New Belgium’s Hoptober is a golden hoppy ale with citrus notes and a fruity finish; pairs nicely with spicy foods and garlic (6% alcohol)
A very pale to golden-colored lager beer with a well attenuated body and noble hop bitterness (5% alcohol)
Light larger, very low in malt flavor with a light and dry body (about 4.5% alcohol)

Greater Stockton’s Homebrew Club will be sharing award winning homebrews.
