OVERVIEW

Enjoy a late night beer garden, Farmers Market from 11 am to 9 pm, June-August, local live entertainment, food tasting, plays, poetry and street performers, artist receptions and presentations. In summer, participate in Art Walk where downtown businesses become “galleries” hosting local artists. All demonstrations and exhibits are free of charge.

ART WALK

The Art Walk is held the 2nd Friday of the month June-August. It is a self-guided tour featuring art work in every medium; from photography to sculpture, from fine art to live music and spoken word. Downtown businesses become “galleries” hosting local artists. All demonstrations and exhibits are free of charge.

Downtown Art Walk is free to attend and there is no commission fee for art sold at the event.

Artist applications will be accepted after March 1, 2010.For more information e-mail Jennifer Krengel, Event Coordinator.

MORE ART IN DOWNTOWN STOCKTON

	The Tidewater Art Center and Gallery hosts interesting art exhibits all year long, M-F, 10 am - 5 pm. Visitors may also enjoy music concerts and an opportunity to meet an exhibiting artist during the Meet-the-Artist receptions.
	The San Joaquin Street Mural depicts scenes of open courtyards in an urban setting in the trompe l’oeil style. Trompe l’oeil is a French term meaning 'trick the eye' that makes painted objects appear three dimensional.
