AUGUST 13th Art Walk:
Meet the Artist Reception at the Tidewater Art Gallery, 5-8 pm. Entitled "4 the Joy of It" the August exhibit is a group show featuring three resident jewelry artists, Gay Lynn Saunders, Susan Winton and Rebekah Burr-Siegal, and a guest artist from Lodi, Debbie Kafton. The show presents a collection of wearable art showcasing unique talents and different artistic visions. For these artists, jewelry design is both a labor of love and a constant source of joy.
Meet the Artist Reception at the San Joaquin County Law Library, 5-8 pm.This month, the Law Library hosts an exhibit "The World: the Way I See It" by Jack Nguyen. Nguyen captures the images of his travels and focuses on depicting nature, objects and people (see photo to the right). Photography, to him, is a path to discovery. Through the viewfinder there is a separate world, unlike the one we see with our naked eyes.
In support of this community, all profits from the exhibition will be donated to support student scholarships for the disabled and visually impaired students at Delta College.
