Five Primary Roles
The DSA focuses in five critical areas as determined by the Downtown Management District Plan.
Maintenance
The DSA coordinates a 90-block maintenance program, with daily litter abetment, steam cleaning and pressuring washing for alleys, streets and sidewalks. In the past eight years, the Clean Team has collected and removed more than 300 tons of trash from the downtown. For its efforts to remove dirt, debris and other downtown litter, the Clean Team helped the DSA win a Mayor’s All-America City Award for Stockton commercial districts and a Target Opportunities for Prevention Pollution (TOPPS) award for pollution prevention and keeping debris out of the Deepwater Channel area.
